Job Description
The Himachal Pradesh High Court, located in Shimla, has formally declared the recruitment process for the position of HP High Court Stenographer Grade IIIas per Advertisement No. DJ-Steno./2025 (1). This opportunity is available within the District Judiciary of Himachal Pradesh and is open to qualified Indian citizens. A total of 52 positions have been announced, comprising 22 regular posts and 30 contractual roles.
The recruitment will adhere to the Himachal Pradesh District Judiciary Staff Rules, 2022. Candidates interested in applying must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university. In addition to the educational requirements, specific typing and stenography competencies are necessary.
Applicants must demonstrate a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in English Stenography, 40 words per minute in English typing, and 30 words per minute in Hindi typing using the Kruti Dev-10 font on a computer.
A maximum of 10% errors will be permitted during the transcription and typing assessments. Additionally, candidates are required to pass the Hindi Stenography test during their probationary period following selection.
The pay scale for regular appointments is categorized under Level-06 of the Pay Matrix, with a salary range of ₹25,600 to ₹81,200, in addition to other applicable allowances. For contractual positions, the salary will be determined according to the rates established by the Government of Himachal Pradesh periodically.
