Job Description
Engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for one year across various Indian Overseas Bank branches. The apprenticeship includes branch-level practical training, exposure to banking operations, and customer service. Candidates will be selected based on an online written exam, local language proficiency test, and document verification. Apprentices are not employees of the bank and are not entitled to regular employment benefits. Upon completion, an apprenticeship certificate will be issued.
Salary / Stipend
Metro Branches: ₹15,000/- per month
Urban Branches: ₹12,000/- per month
Semi-Urban/Rural Branches: ₹10,000/- per month
(Includes Govt. subsidy share of ₹4,500 credited directly)
Across India (State/UT-wise seats available – total 750 vacancies)
IOB Apprentices Recruitment 2025 - Age Limit Criteria as on DOB between 01.08.1997 and 01.08.2005, both inclusive
- Minimum Age Required: 20 Years Years
- Maximum Age Limit: 28 Years Years
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 years PwBD – 10 years Widows/Divorced Women – Up to 35 years (GEN/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST)
