Job Description

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for Deputy Commissioner Hamirpur Naib Tehsildar Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

Educational Qualification & Experience

• Applicant must be a retired Naib Tehsildar from the Revenue Department of Himachal Pradesh.

• Must have completed a minimum of 5 years of service in any wing of the HP Revenue Department prior to superannuation.

• There must be no departmental or disciplinary proceedings pending against the applicant.

Only candidates meeting all the above conditions will be considered for engagement.

Age Limit

• The applicant’s age should not exceed 65 years as on the date of advertisement (22 January 2026).

There is no minimum age limit, as this recruitment is exclusively for retired government employees.

Salary Structure

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹60,000.

• The monthly payment will be released based on:

  • Performance certificate issued by the Controlling Authority

  • Work conduct report

  • Details of revenue cases handled or disposed

No additional allowances such as DA, HRA, or pension-related benefits will be admissible during the engagement period.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be carried out through the following method:

• Applications will be examined by a Selection Committee.

• Final selection will be made based on the recommendations of the committee.

• If the number of applications exceeds the available vacancies, candidates younger in age will be given preference.

No written examination or interview is mentioned in the notification.

Period of Engagement

• Initial engagement will be for 03 months.

• The period may be extended further depending on:

  • Performance of the candidate

  • Administrative requirement of the department

Important points regarding engagement:

• The appointment is purely temporary.

• Services may be terminated at any time without prior notice.

• The engagement period will not be counted for pension, seniority, or any other service benefits.

General Terms & Conditions

• One casual leave is admissible after completion of one month of service.

• No other leave shall be permitted.

• Unauthorized absence will result in automatic termination and no remuneration for the absent period.

• Selected candidates must produce a medical fitness certificate from a Government Hospital before joining.

• TA/DA for official tours will be admissible as per rates applicable to regular officials at the minimum pay scale.

• Medical reimbursement facilities available to retirees will continue as per existing rules.

• Services will automatically end after clearance of pending revenue cases.

• Promotion of existing Kanungos will not be affected due to this re-engagement.

Selected Naib Tehsildars will be posted against vacant positions in:

• Tehsil Offices

• Sub-Tehsil Offices

within District Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.
